🏡 Woombye, Sunshine Coast QLD – From 26 October 2026 for 2–4 months – Handyman / renovation helper – Exchange position
A friendly family living on 2.5 acres in Woombye on the Sunshine Coast is looking for a practical and reliable handyman, tradesperson or renovation helper in exchange for private cottage accommodation.
The opportunity is available from 26 October 2026 onwards, ideally for around 2–4 months, although the length of stay can be discussed.
Couples are preferred, although singles are very welcome to apply. Dogs are also welcome.
The exchange
In return for approximately 15 hours of work per week, you’ll have your own spacious and private cottage on the property.
The working hours can be organised flexibly to suit both parties.
The work
The main project will be helping with a small bathroom renovation, along with other practical jobs around the property.
Work may include:
✅ Bathroom renovation work
✅ General handyman and maintenance jobs
✅ Oiling decks
✅ Fence repairs
✅ Minor renovation projects
✅ Other practical property maintenance as required
Experience in building, carpentry, plumbing, renovations or general trades would be highly regarded.
The family is looking for someone who can work independently, is practical and takes pride in doing a good job.
Your accommodation
The private cottage is separate from the family home and offers approximately 90 square metres of living space.
It includes:

✅ Two decks with rural views
✅ Shed / workshop area available for use
✅ Plenty of privacy and independence
Please note that the cottage’s main bathroom will be undergoing renovation during the stay, so alternative bathroom facilities will be provided.
Food and groceries are not included.
