Private Cottage Accommodation in Exchange for Handyman Work – Sunshine Coast, QLD Location: Woombye, Sunshine Coast, Queensland Accommodation: Private cottage with rural views Work commitment: 12 hours per week in exchange for accommodation Duration: Negotiable for short or long term, ideally 2 to 6 months Enjoy the Sunshine Coast while helping with a few projects around our property! We are a friendly family of two adults and two children living on 2.5 acres in Woombye on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Although we are close to town and local amenities, our property has a peaceful rural feel, with lovely views and plenty of space. We are looking for a practical, reliable and capable handyman, or someone with trade qualifications and renovation experience, to help us with a small bathroom renovation and various other maintenance jobs around the property. Your accommodation In exchange for approx. 12 hours of work per week, depending on skills, we can offer you a spacious, private fully furnished cottage with beautiful rural views.  Water, electricity, and internet is included. The cottage offers approximately 90 square metres of space, with two decks where you can relax and enjoy the outlook. It is separate from our main family home, providing privacy and independence during your stay. There is also a shed/workshop area available for your use. The cottage is furnished including a washing machine. The cottage would suit a single person or couple looking, and we are happy for you to bring your dog. Please note that the cottage's main bathroom will be undergoing renovation, so an alternative bathroom will be available for your use during this period. The work The main project will be a small bathroom renovation, along with other handyman jobs that might include oiling decks, or fence repair, and general property maintenance as needed. We would ideally like someone with practical building, renovation or trade skills who is comfortable working independently and takes pride in doing a good job. The arrangement is approx. 15 hours of work per week in exchange for the cottage accommodation. We are happy to discuss how those hours are organised to suit both parties. Location and lifestyle Woombye is a lovely Sunshine Coast hinterland town, conveniently located for exploring the region's beaches, national parks, markets, cafes and hinterland villages. You can enjoy a relaxed rural setting while remaining close to shops and other amenities. We are looking for someone who is easygoing, trustworthy, respectful and happy to lend a hand around our property. In return, you will have your own private space and the opportunity to enjoy all that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Food and groceries are not included.
