A small family-run orchard in the Batlow / Kunama region of New South Wales is looking for reliable workers to join the team for the 2027 apple harvest.

The position is expected to run from approximately March through to May 2027 and would suit singles, couples and travelling Grey Nomads looking for seasonal paid work while spending some time in the Batlow region.

The role

The main work will involve helping with apple harvest operations using the orchard’s harvest assist platform.

Duties may include:

✅ Apple picking
✅ Working from the harvest assist platform
✅ Helping with general harvest operations
✅ Assisting with other orchard duties where required
✅ Helping the small team keep harvest running smoothly

There may also be opportunities for additional orchard work outside the main harvest period, depending on your experience, ability and the work available.

Previous farm, fruit-picking or orchard experience would be helpful but is not essential.

Accommodation

Please note that accommodation is not available on the orchard.

However, there are caravan parks and other accommodation options available in Batlow and the surrounding area.

This would be a great opportunity for travellers looking to spend part of autumn working among the apple orchards of one of Australia’s best-known fruit-growing regions.
