Alkoomi Adventure Farmstay, located around 30 minutes south of Rockhampton, is looking for a fit, tidy and reliable caretaker couple to help host and maintain the campground over the quieter summer season.

The property is a beautiful working cattle farm with sweeping mountain views, located just 2 km off the Bruce Highway via an all-weather road.

The owners are looking for a couple with their own caravan who can help keep things running smoothly and give them an occasional break.

Sorry, no pets.

Timing

The position is available from December 2026 through to April 2027, with some flexibility around the exact start and finish dates for the right couple.

The role

Duties may include:

✅ Keeping the campground neat and tidy
✅ Mowing and watering lawns
✅ Checking in the occasional summer guest
✅ Cleaning campground amenities
✅ Cleaning four ensuite rooms
✅ Keeping the camp kitchen clean and organised
✅ Feeding the farm animals each afternoon at approximately 4:30pm

The role involves only a few hours of work each day, leaving plenty of time to relax or explore the region.

Who they’re looking for

Ideally, the hosts will be:

✅ A reliable and active couple
✅ Clean, tidy and organised
✅ Comfortable working independently
✅ Friendly and welcoming with guests
✅ Happy around farm animals
✅ Able to take pride in keeping the campground looking its best

Previous caravan park, campground or farmstay experience would be highly regarded.
