Farm Caretaker

Located on 100 acres in South West WA. We operate a small farm with approximately 150 sheep. We are a 10 minute drive to Collie where you will find Supermarkets, Pubs, Cafes and restaurants. There are many walking trails to explore in the area with Wellington National Park at your doorstep and being part of the Ferguson Valley allows a short trip to the local wineries, breweries and dining. Bunbury is only a 40 minute drive with beaches, shopping and all that you would require. The property has its own lake and backs on to the Collie river.

We are looking for a caretaker (or couple) to be onsite and care for the property for 3 – 4 months during the months of March, April, May, June 2025 whilst the Farm Managers are on leave. There is a nice private place with a great outlook to park your caravan with power, water, ensuite and laundry facilities. The ideal person/couple will be semi-retired/retired travellers willing to commit to a minimum of three to four months during this time to be onsite and look after the property. The owners  visit 50% of the time and stay in the farmhouse.

Responsibilities will include feeding the chickens, checking troughs and fence lines, feeding and checking on the sheep (approx 150) and general grounds maintenance when required. This is in exchange for your site. Experience with livestock is preferred but not essential. There is an opportunity to earn extra income for the right person/couple on a flexible casual basis.
