Casual Farmhand

We are currently seeking applicants with general farming experience to fill a farm hand position. The role will involve a variety of tasks including machinery operation, general farm labour, and maintenance work. Experience with basic farm equipment is required, and the position is short-term. 3-6 months of farmhand experience is preferred.

Position Duties
This role may include a variety of work including:

• Weed Spraying: Handling the application of treatments for weed control across the farm
• General farm work will vary, including machinery operation, fencing, livestock husbandry, and assisting with livestock movements.
• Farm maintenance tasks could include general upkeep, repairs, and earthworks
• Basic welding may also be involved for repairs as needed

Reporting to the Farm Manager the successful applicants will require:

• Hands-on experience in agricultural processes and farm operations, including tasks like spraying, machinery operation, and general maintenance.
• Familiarity with basic farm technology to assist in tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Attention to detail across various farm activities, ensuring proper handling of equipment and materials.
• Ability to work independently on daily tasks, including repairs and maintenance, with a willingness to collaborate as needed.
