Description
Riverwood Downs Rural Resort, is a pet friendly family owned and run property in the Mid Coast Region of NSW. We have a job available for a mature worker cooking in our kitchen starting immediately. The restaurant is normally open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday but there is other work available in House Keeping or Gardening if you would like to work 4 or 5 days a week. Single accommodation could be available for the right person committing to a longer stay.
We are happy to consider couples but we would only have 2 days a week for a partner as a gardener/grounds person until the end of February when one of our couples is moving on and extra work would be available to them.
Attitude and ability is far more important to us than age. The positions would give you time to explore our beautiful region and are available for minimum commitment of 6 months or longer term. Powered site available for your caravan and your pet is welcome. WHM visa holders are welcome to apply, but hospitality work in NSW does not count as time for visa extensions. As we are semi-isolated you will need your own vehicle and caravan.
A look at our website will tell you all about us and give you a feel for the beauty and quality of the property and its surrounds (www.riverwooddowns.com.au) and we can provide you references from our Nomad couples (See below). Please call Toni on 0419 639 241 for more information or email us your CV to Toni@riverwooddowns.com.au.
Grey Nomad Reference: We found our dream first stop on Grey Nomad Jobs and were lucky enough to land at Riverwood Downs. From the first phone call to Chris I knew we were going to be treated well. The lead up to our arrival was smooth as correspondence with Toni the Manager was seamless. We were given all the appropriate information prior to arriving and at no point during our 3.5 months at Riverwood were we let down. Upon arrival we were shown our site - it was an incredible plot overlooking the mountains with shelter, power, water and a toilet. Chris was actually kind enough to create a small fully fenced yard for our dog. We only had to mention we needed something and it just appeared. If we didn't want to walk to work we had the luxury of a loan motorbike, everyone offered us lifts and nothing was to much trouble for any of the owners/managers. As grey nomads we were made to feel like family. The variety of jobs we did ranged from Chef to housekeeping and everything in between and it was a great knowledge gaining as well as fun first stop for us on our travels. We found friends for life whilst working at Riverwood Downs and will definitely go back as Grey nomads in the future. We still miss the people, the place and everything every day. Bear in mind you are pretty remote with the nearest town 30 minutes away but on your days off the surrounding areas are to die for - we went swimming, 4 x 4, met new born calves, drove to the beach and so much more. There is so much to explore around the area. Happy to chat with any Grey Nomads who have questions. Mick and Shona (Contact Toni if you would like our number)
