Farmhand – Poultry farming

Looking for a job with variety? This job would suit a semi-retired physically fit single person. It is a paid position including single person on farm accommodation and space for your caravan if required.

Central West Poultry is seeking a motivated and energetic, full time/ part time or casual, poultry worker will need minimum 4 months or longer. Other duties include general farm work.

Central West Poultry is a dynamic family run business that grows out egg laying pullet’s and sells to the public and free-range egg growers.

Duties Include:

• Daily feeding of poultry, health and welfare checks.
• Catching and transporting poultry.
• Delivering poultry and serving customers.
• Attending field days and market days.
• Mixing & bagging poultry feed, washing poultry crates.

General Farm duties are mechanical repairs, fencing, welding, burr spraying and contract grain harvesting.

Essential: Current drivers’ licence and own vehicle.

Wages: Minimum Poultry workers award wages, negotiable to reflect experience. Single person accommodation available on farm included in package.

Desirable: An interest in welding and mechanics

Situated in Central West NSW (80 km Dubbo, 40 km Gilgandra)
