Description
Dear nomads,
In order to get to a family reunion in Victoria, I need caretakers to look after my property. Tiltagoona Station is located 60km from Tilpa or 120km from Cobar. The road to Cobar is all bitumen.
The property is 66,000 acres in size but don't be daunted by that. Duties will include checking stock waters, turning bores on and off (with the flick of a switch), looking after the dogs (5), looking after the chooks, watering the lawns and garden and just providing a presence on the property.
I'd prefer a couple, mainly for safety reasons. Retired farmers or experienced caretakers preferred.
Mobile phone coverage is very good at the homestead as long as you are with Telstra.
Preferably bring your caravan. The shearer's quarters are available too. They provide AC, a basic kitchen and ablutions block.
Wages are negotiable depending on your skills and whether you'd like to do any other jobs while you're here. It's up to you.
There is the possibility of further paid work for the right people; a week in May and most of June.
There is plenty of birdlife and yabbies. Tilpa is only 60km away via a mostly bitumen road.
