Tractor driver/general farm hand on a cropping farm

Seeking experienced tractor driver.

Essential: We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, non-smoker (due to fire hazards) and experience with machinery operation. Neat and tidy Is a safe and careful machinery operator Someone who takes initiative

THE ROLE: Farm Hand: Would you like to help us on the farm with tractor driving, farm maintenance, pre seeding preparation (lime and gypsum spreading; deep ripping; rock rolling etc) and general farm duties?

THE FARM: Our farm is a broadacre cropping property west of Esperance in Western Australia. We grow wheat, canola and vetch. We also have horses and chickens.

ACTIVITIES: Tractor driving, farm machinery maintenance, fencing and farm maintenance

SURROUNDING AREA: During your leisure time, you may wish to enjoy the myriad of different wild flower species in the region while bush walking or swimming in our river. The Southern Ocean is close by and brings many beautiful and unique beaches where you can go fishing or swimming or camping. The coastal town of Esperance is only 1.5hours away. Our helpers often go to Esperance or Hopetoun for the weekend to enjoy a swim at the beach, visit the library, meet locals or buy groceries. ACCOMMODATION: Ranges from a house on the coast to ensuite rooms to plenty of room for a caravan/camper van with easy access to power and water and a bathroom.

You will need your own vehicle to drive to shops for food or to explore our beautiful region.
