Trafficwerx NT is looking for experienced and reliable Traffic Controllers for work across the Northern Territory, with positions available from 16 October 2026 and the potential for work for up to 12 months.

This is a casual paid position, based from Winnellie, NT, with work available across a variety of traffic management projects.

Singles and couples are both welcome to apply.

The role

Traffic Controllers will work as part of experienced teams helping manage traffic safely around worksites and projects throughout the Northern Territory.

Duties may include:

✅ Traffic control and site safety
✅ Setting up and managing traffic control areas
✅ Communicating with drivers, workers and other traffic controllers
✅ Following traffic management plans and safety procedures
✅ Driving company vehicles where required
✅ Working across different project locations

Pay

💰 $38 to $83.57 per hour, depending on the work, qualifications and applicable rates.

Who can apply

Applicants must either:

✅ Hold valid Category 1 or Category 2 Traffic Management tickets, or an accepted interstate equivalent

OR

✅ Be currently booked into an approved NT Traffic Management Course

Applicants will also need:

✅ White Card
✅ Full Australian driver's licence
✅ Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
✅ Strong spoken and written English
✅ Good communication and teamwork skills
✅ Strong commitment to workplace and road safety
